Trainee Project Surveyor

Due to expansion we are looking to recruit a Trainee Project Surveyor to provide technical and admin support to the major repairs department and process.

Job Purpose

A Trainee Project Surveyor to provide technical and admin support to the major repairs department and process.

Duties

  • Provide technical sketches, Drawings, CGI’s etc. where required.
  • Arrange and Attend Site Surveys.
  • Assist with formulating Project Specifications.
  • Liaise with Suppliers on technical specifications.
  • Assist with ordering technical equipment for Major Repair projects.
  • To be fully involved with Project meetings to ensure fluid communication
  • Ensure Communication within team carried out in a timely, professional manner
  • Lead by Example
  • General Assistance where necessary
  • On the job technical training

Skills / Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Enhanced DBS (Paid for by ANSA)
  • Excellent communicator both verbal and written.
  • Good people and organisational skills
  • Engineering qualifications required (BTEC Level 3 Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical)
  • IT experience required; (Microsoft Software applications – Outlook, Excel, Word etc)
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and alone as required.
  • Ability to motivate/train and cultivate a positive culture within the team essential.

  • Lift industry experience

Job Purpose

To provide assistance to the Major Repair field operatives on site in the completion of jobs as required.

Duties

  • To ensure that assistance with works are carried out in accordance with current health and safety policies, British Standards and legislation.
  • Assist with delivery of materials, tools and equipment.
  • Ensure company issued PPE is worn at appropriate times.
  • Ensure where required, all company paperwork is completed comprehensively and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain standards of company image at all times i.e. company uniform to be worn during working hours.
  • To be responsible for securing your allocated vehicle and its contents at all times.
  • To liaise with the Office Manager for the routine maintenance and any repairs required to your allocated vehicle.
  • To undertake other duties as requested by Line Management.

Job Purpose

Support company operations by effective management of the Major Projects Engineering Team

Duties

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as required
  • Ensure repairs completed on time, within budget

  • To assist in proper planning of Major Repair projects
  • Assist where required in critical execution and completion of projects
  • Provide technical and logistical support to engineers and subcontractors
  • Monitor and report progress of jobs
  • Assist with customer site queries

  • To manage special subcontract works (builders, electricians, specialist finishes etc.)

Skills / Qualifications

  • Qualified Lift Engineer NVQ 3 essential (NVQ/QCF 4 desirable)
  • Supervisory experience within the lift industry preferred
  • Logical problem solving mentality and experience across a range of equipment and applications
  • IT experience required; (Microsoft Software applications – Outlook, Excel, Word etc) however training available with the role where required
  • Ability to supervise a team of engineers and liaise with administration to ensure all aspects of the service delivery are maintained continuously

Job Purpose

Manage a service route in accordance with customer and company requirements whilst ensuring adherence to current Health and Safety procedures

Duties

  • Responsible for managing a route to ensure all service visits are completed within the month allocated
  • Carry out routine service visits to company standards on time and efficiently
  • Complete any insurance report items issued in a timely manner
  • Ensure all company paperwork is completed comprehensively and in a timely manner
  • Maintain standards of company image at all times i.e. company uniform to be worn during working hours
  • Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of company vehicle if issued
  • Ensure company issued PPE is worn at appropriate times
  • Responsible for identifying training requirements

  • Night –Call Rota, ANSA Elevators currently operate a rota for engineers to attend out of hours breakdowns, availability for this rota is mandatory for all qualified engineers.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Service Engineer is essential.
  • To have achieved NVQ 3 in Lift Engineering or be working towards this qualification.
